FOUR STROKE DIESEL ENGINE 作者: Mind Map: FOUR STROKE DIESEL ENGINE

1. FIRST STROKE: INTAKE

1.1. during intake the intake valve is open, while the exhaust valve is closed.

1.2. The piston moves downwards from the Top Dead Centre (TDC) to the Bottom Dead Centre (BDC)

1.3. The movement of the piston creates a vacuum and air enters inside the cylinder

2. SECOND STROKE: COMPRESSION

2.1. The intake and exhaust valves are closed

2.2. The piston moves upwards from the BDC (Buttom Dead Centre) to the TDC (Top Dead Centre)

2.3. The air inside the cylinder is compressed and reaches a very high temperature

3. THIRD STROKE: IGNITION OR POWER

4. FOURTH STROKE: EXHAUST

5. The force produced moves the crankshaft transforming the reciprocating movement into rotatory movement

5.1. The injector atomize the fuel inside the combustion chamber

5.1.1. The fuel burns instantly

5.1.1.1. The gases produced by the combustion push the piston down

6. The exhaust gases are pushed through the exhauste valve by the upward movement of the piston

7. The piston moves upwards from the BDC to the TDC

7.1. The exhaust valve opens while the intake valve is closed
